Help! With Turn off

B

Billy Boy

Help. Some days back when I start to turn off my computer, Win XP Home, a window comes up
and says:

"Click Turn Off to install important updates and turn off your computer. Click here to
turn off without installing updates (underlined)"

I have allowed the updates to be installed many times but this keeps happening so now I
just always click on underlined statement.

I use AVG all the time and several adware and spyware programs but nothing is found.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks.

I doubt that would be a virus. There is probably a bit that got set
saying you never installed them.

Try turning auto updating completely off and reboot... and then turn it
back on... maybe that will cycle the settings!
