Use System Restore if you don't want to use Adaware and/or Spybot and/or the

Ad-Aware, Spybot etc. are written so that spyware doesn't have to be deleted manually. There may be many entries in the Registry that have to be deleted to get rid of spyware. No, I can't tell you have to manually delete spyware. I wouldn't like to try it either.

Tough job. There are many many flavors of spyware and they will not all
be removed properly using the same instructions. Even the programs like
Adware need regular updates to keep up.

Why dont you want to install something like spybot?

Otherwise..know your registry.
Most hide in the run section, and and the toolbar
sections, you can do a search in the registry if you know
the name.

Really though, spybot is free and good.

you do need to know the name of the parasite they are all
different in removal proceedures.

Adaware does it with just a few mouse clicks.. why on earth would you want
to go through all of registry manually.. maybe you just like doing things
with your hand(s).. lol
