Help with memory

Hi everyone,
I am considering purchasing this memory for my computer:
http://makeashorterlink.com/?K2BC32B88

I have one question, however. I noticed that it is a CL=3. The stick in my
computer now is a CL=2. Will this matter? And can someone explain what the
difference is?

Here is info on my sytem:

Compaq Presario 5310US
1200MHz Intel Celeron Processor
1.20 GHz
256MB
And here is what the Compaq site has for specs on the memory:
256MB 133 MHz SyncDRAM, 2 Total DIMM Slots Upgradeable to 512MB (SyncDRAM
DIMM required)

Thanks
Robin

I did and the one I found at NewEgg looks to be exactly the same except for
the CL. I don't have a CC or Checking Acct so I had to find somewhere that
took M.O.'s . The memory at NewEgg is made by Crucial.
Thanks
Robin

[[Is CAS2 the same as CL2 (and is CAS3 the same as CL3)?

Yes. "CAS2" and "CL2" are simply two different ways of writing that a module
has a CAS latency of 2. You may also see this written as CAS=2 or CL=2. The
same holds true for CAS3 and CL3.]]

[[Can I mix CAS2 and CAS3 parts? What should the motherboard settings be?

CAS2 and CAS3 parts can be mixed. When using both a CAS2 and CAS3 part at
the same time, your motherboard should automatically detect and set the
memory timings to the fastest common setting, which would be CAS3. This will
allow your CAS2 module to run at the CAS3 setting.]]
