How do I increase Virtual Memory and/or the Page File???????

Windows XP SP2.
I recently had to remove one of my computer's memory DIMMs because of faulty
memory. the original total RAM was 512MB (two 256MB DIMMS). Now, since I
removed one DIMM, the total RAM is 256MB. While running some programs on my
computer, a yellow "ballon" appeared on my taskbar stating that "the system
is running low on virtual memmory" or something like that.

So, how can increase the Virtual Memory or the Page File size? And is there
anything in addition that I can do to increase available memory?

To change Virtual Memory settings:

1. Right-click the Desktop's "My Computer" icon and select "Properties"
2. Select the "Advanced" tab.
3. Click the "Settings" button.
4. Select the "Advanced" tab, again.
5. Click the "Change" button at the bottom.
