install problems

I just put in a new 60 gb hard drive on my system and when I go to setup
windows 98 se it freezes right at the setup window ,any help would be
appreciated? Here's the system specs \

Your system is not showing the 60gb drive.. run the Win 98 startup diskette,
partition and format the drive.. see what size your computer can handle.. if
it fails to show the full 60gb, your computer will need to have its BIOS
updated..

Two points here.. a BIOS update may not be available for a machine as old as
yours.. and upgrading BIOS is not a task for the unwary..

Take it to a trusted local repairer and ask for assistance..
