Help with error msg resolution -- Please Help!

I have a Dell XPS 400 System running MS/XP Media Edition Ver 5.1.2600 and I
have installed Roxio’s My DVD Plus. (My PC is less than 2 months old). All
of the Roxio applications work except the Express Labeler Function. When I
attempt to start it I get a Windows Application Error Msg. which says:

“Exception EAccess Violation in module dwwin.dll @ 000EAE22, Access
Violation @ address 061AE22 in module ‘dwwin.dll’, Read of address 0000003C

I contacted Roxio and was told to download the Windows Install Clean up
program, remove Roxio and Sonic applications, and also remove the Roxio and
Sonic entries from the Registry and re-install their product. This did not
work and I was told to redo the cleanup procedure and create a NEW Windows
User Account and reinstall their product under the new user. They believe
some module was missing from my account (I am the administrator and there are
no other accounts on my system). This did not make any sense to me, even as
a work-around. I did not try the new procedure.

Does anyone have any idea of what might be wrong and how I can fix it?
Please help!

Did you install it on the new account?

No, I did not want to do this. If possible and not too much trouble, I'd
rather fix my account.

You might want to try it to see if it works. If so then copy the data from
your old profile to the new one, then delete the old. Why beat your head
against something that might be solved much more quickly by another means?
I'm not saying it will, in fact, work, and it really is Roxio's issue, but
it is a viable troubleshooting step.

Another option is to do a repair install. That should retain current
programs and data, but updates from the Microsoft Update site will need to
be reinstalled. Make sure you have a full and complete backup of all
important data, which should always be the case.

If that doesn't do it, and you can find no other resolution, there is always
a clean install of XP.
