Help with Browser

I have a major problem with my web browser. I have both
Internet Explorer, and Netscape. Whenever I try to use
one of the major search engines(Yahoo, Google, Alta Vista)
I get "this page can not be displayed" with Internet
Explorer, and " Request has been refused" from Netscape.
I have tried everything from lowering my security
options, to accepting all cookies. I am able to use one
of the many browsers that do not show relevant material,
but I would like to resolve my problem.
Does anyone have a solution for me.

You might have the Qhosts trojan (virus).
