Help -- what does "Code 10" mean?

D

Derek

Hi,
Can anyone help?

I run Windows XP, having clean installed it yesterday
(previously I had ME).

I am trying to load my Netgear MA401 wireless card. The
computer recognised the card, then after trying to load
the software, i get a message saying the card won't
work "(Code 10)".

What does Code 10 mean? Can someone help me (in layman's
language)?

I know the card is not faulty, because I can use it in my
wife's laptop.

Could the software (on CD) be corrupted?

Could it be the fault of my PCMCIA slots? In which case,
is it even possible to fix these on a laptop?

Is it some drivers conflict???

Please Help!

Many thanks
Derek

It is unlikely that CD is corrupt.
Have you followed previous advice to contact Netgear?
Who is "Blueyonder", why you call them or ask here rather than call Netgear?
