Help w/connecting USB Port Headers

Hi

I just built my first computer and need some help with the USB connections.

It's an Abit AI7 Motherboard. My case, a Kingwin, has two front USB ports.
Each port on the front of the case is connected with it's own individual
cable. The ends that connects to the motherboard have four pins labeled
[VCC] [Data-] [Data+] and [Ground].

I've connected these to both the FP-USB1 and FP-USB2 ports on the
motherboard using pins 1(VCC) 3(Data0-) 5(Data0+) 7(Ground)

Is this correct? Also, does each USB port on the front of the case need to
be connected to individual port headers on the motherboard or can both be
connected to FP-USB1?

Thanks for the help.

Your pinout connections are correct. You can use only FP-USB 1 for both
front panel connectors for the case. Use pins 2-4-6-8 for the second
connection, same pin order as 1-3-5-7. Nothing goes to pin 10. Pin 9 is
blank for orientation.
