Help Validating Windows

I just got my computer back from a repair shop because of an overabundance of
viruses. the shop reinstalled windows but it wasn't the Authentic windows
that I own, it was and evaluation version for business or somethign liek that
how can i get my windows back or at least my windows key on this windows so i
can get service pack 2?

Take your computer back to the repair shop, along with "your"
Windows XP CD and Product Key, and tell them to reinstall.

they are closed now and untill tomorrow, I dont want to be without service
pack 2 for a fear of more viruses is there any other way to fix it besides
reinstalling everything?

Do a repair install with your CD, this will allow to enter your key
into windows.

SP2 won't stop you from getting more viruses - although it will help.

Check that the firewall is on AND that you have up to date anti-virus
software installed (there are a number of good free-for-personal-use
anti-virus products out there). Do this whether or not you get back to SP2.

Go online and run the Activation Wizard. At some point it SHOULD fail
and ask you to enter another product key. Stick in yours.
