HELP - Turn off the Information Bar for ActiveX in IE6

I

I Hate MSFT

I turned off ActiveX because I'm so sick of spyware and popups, but
now I get this totally annoying Information Bar telling me why I
should activate ActiveX.

I did a web search, and found these directions to solve this problem:

http://support.dell.com/support/top...document?dn=1090296&c=us&l=en&s=gen&cs=#step5

I followed these directions, but I *still* get the Information Bar.
Not as much as before, but still on websites like espn.go.com

Does anyone know how I can *PERMANENTLY* turn off the Information Bar?

Also, how do I turn off the Macromedia Flash player and *ALL*
associate error messages?

I just want to surf in peace, is that so difficult?

Thanks in advance

I still get the Information Bar and I had previously done all the steps
listed at the Dell support site. Something else is keeping the Bar alive and
functioning.
