Help: Toshiba PCX 2200 cable modem attached to USB

J

Joel Rubin

WinXP SP2

Modem is installed OK with drivers from Toshiba's website but I get a
constant "Acquiring Network Address" on the connection and I can't
connect to anything.

Also: I can't start DHCP client in services.msc Error 1068, The
Dependency Group Failed to start and I can't do control-Network
Connections. Nothing happens after I hit "Network Connections"

Should the cable modem connection use DHCP? I don't use it in dialup.

Has the cable ISP "provisioned" the modem? If not, it will not work.
You must call your cable ISP, provide the MAC address of the modem and
they must install that MAC address in their database.
