I connect to the internet using a cable modem. I'm using Windows XP Home Ed. I noticed in the network connections, that I have three icons (Network Bridge, LAN, 1394 connection). Is it a requirement for the network connections window have network bridge to connect to the internet. I can't get an IP address without it.

I had a cable modem and I had those three exact icons.
If you are getting on the internet with no problem, I
would just ignore all those new icons on your computer.
