Help to re-locate a backup program

E

Elephant

A while back, many were posting links to freeware backup programs.

Let me tell you what an idiot I am.

I was trying out a lot of them. Some better than others. Well, like a
dumb-sh*t, I deleted the best one I found and now I can't remember what
the name was. Real brilliant, huh!

The program didn't do any compression, simply burned what you selected
to a CDR/RW. So, you could re-call without having to load the backup
software.

One of the programs had the typical windows look to it, the other when
opening it up, had the background of artwork or a painting. Does this
make sense to anyone? I know, I sound like a moron!

Anyway, I've spent close to 8 hours trying all sorts of freeware sights
and googling the hell out of google, but no luck.

Can someone please help?

That can happen, Elephant (that is why a program like softcat
(http://www.fnprg.com/softcat/ ) can be very handy), I use EZ-BackItUp
from http://www.rdcomp.net/ezbackitup. Does the job cleanly (zo zipping
or whatsoever), and has a built in scheduler that runs as a separate
task... very nifty!

Maybe its worth to try burn quick program
BurnQuick - Data/Audio CD/DVD Burner is one of the simplest CD burning
program ever designed. Just right-click on a file or a folder and
select a BurnQuick command from the popup menu. Set a few options on
the BurnQuick interface and click on Start. BurnQuick will burn all of
the selected files to your CD or DVD burner, quickly and simply.

Polder Backup? That compresses if you choose to do so -- to standard
..zip files -- but just makes straight copies if you want to do that.

A wonderful program.
