HELP !!! -- tfswctrl.exe error

All of a sudden my XP home edition system can't open
any programs. It gives the (tfwsctrl.exe )direct access
component error.
Application version 3.50.31.0 mod name ntdll.dll. Mod
version 5.1.2600.1217 offset 00007EB2. My system is Sony
Vaio PCV RX-650, 80GB harddrive, 51 Ram and 1.6Ghz.

Anybody has sugestions.
