HELP! Problem With Fax.

S

Shawn

Everytime I go to fax something it indicates a "busy"
message. I have to shut down the machine and restart it.
Then I can fax. Before you say just do that; everytime I
shut down the fax it shuts down my computer and restarts
it.

I can receive and can print from the computer consistently
with no problems-it is just faxing out that is an
inconvenience of late

I assume you are using the Windows 2000 Fax Service that ships with Windows
2000 Operating System. After the shutdown are you able to send faxes
successfully? Next time when the send fails, send us the log file. You can
find this at C:\Windows\system32\LogFiles\Fax\Incoming\FSPS<nnnn>.log - pick
the latest file.

What do you mean by 'shut down the fax'?
