HELP! Printers keep on getting unpublished

Five DC's, all win 2k with SP4s, two in main office, others in branch
offices. One file/print server, win 2k with SP4. All network
printers added to that file/print and shared out. Majority of
printers are HP. A couple of Toshiba's, Canon's, Lexmark's.

All the printers keep on getting unpublished from AD recently. When a
user at a workstation go do an Add printer, and do a find, none of the
printers show up. I go into ADSIedit and no printers are listed under
the file/print server. I re-published them by going to properties of
each one, uncheck the list in AD option, apply, then check the list in
AD option, and apply. Printers now show up. But after a day or two,
the printers get unpublished from AD.

I check the group policy:

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Printers

They're all NOT CONFIGURED.

What's going on???????????????????? Is there anyway to republish
printers by doing all at once instead of doing individually???????

Just had the same thing happen. Stopping then restarting the Spoole
service re-published all printers at once.
