Hello,
We are having a problem getting our updates on one of the computers. Two
thing we have changed before we started having problems....We went to cable
internet (Using a router) and put on Norton firewall... Have three
computers....Two are working just fine...The third one stops at the first
page after you go to the update page...Can't get past this part...

"Checking for the latest version of the Windows Update software...
Depending on your connection speed, this might take a minute. To
ensure that you're able to view Windows Update when this verification
is complete, select Yes in any "Security Warning" dialog boxes that
appear."

It doesn't freeze up just won't continue on...I tried disabling the firewall
and it is still won't work...Sure would appreciate any help...Thanks Kelly

All other web pages load up just fine...It is just the update page that
won't load....

Could there be a setting in Internet Options that is different from the
others. Such as 'Install on demand'. On the Advanced tab, look for Enable
Install On Demand (Other) and check it.

The Internet Explorer one should be unchecked. What about other settings in
Internet Options? Is there any differences there? In particular the Security
and Privacy tabs.

Thanks Steve....I checked all the settings and all was the same....Then I
deleted cookies, delete files, from temp internet files....Also cleared
history....Also at the same time I disabled Norton and firewall...Tried it
and it worked...then re enabled all and re booted and now all works like a
charm....Thanks again for your help....
