Help on Installation

I am trying to upgrade from Win 98SE to XP and keep
getting the following error:

"The file C:\$WIN_NT$.~LS\i386\asms\1000
\MSFT\WINDOWS\GDIPLUS\GDIPLUS.cat is corrupt; it contains
all zeros"

Any ideas?

The error is saying the .cat (catalog file) named GDIPLUS
is corrupt. >> Do you have ANY virus software running??
You must disable it ...including the BIOS Virus
protection if enabled. Before starting the install make
sure that there is only Explorer and sys or systray
running in W98 by doing a CTL-ALT-DEL .... turn off (End
Task) on everyting but these two and then try the istall
again.
