Help Needed

I am really being driven crazy by pop-ups right now, and
have tried to load some of the free programs to stop
them. I went for over a year and a half without having
any problems. Then when I downloaded a windows update,
or an update for the pop-blocker, something happened and
the pop-ups are just constant now.

1. My OS is Windows XP home edition
2. My firewall is enabled
3. I have a pop-up blocker that is enabled, but not
doing "jack".
4. I have downloaded and run "Hijackthis", "CWshredder",
and "ParetoLogic's "Xoftspy". They each find temporary
files and registry files that are spyware, but after I
run them and delete the bad files, the "pop-ups" just
keep coming.

I finally decided to try a different internet browser, so
I downloaded Opera 7.52. It seems to prevent the pop-
ups, but it's not as fast as IE Explorer.

Any help or suggestions from someone with much more
experience than me would be greatly appreiciated.

WaltC.
