HELP needed - Privilege Win32 Server cannot start

Hi
When XP boots up, it brings "Privilege Server has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Whenever I try to restart it it comes up with the same error. My system has
been very stable for years, and now I can not get this fixed and could not
find something much on the net to help me. Can you?

The error signature:
szAppName : PLServ.exe szAppVer : 2.0.1.0 szModName : PLServ.exe
szModVer : 2.0.1.0 offset : 0003ac07
