help needed on wsock.vxd

Does windows XP use wscok.vxd ?

The IE6 on my windows XP stopped browsing although I have
internet connections. Checked for Wscok32.dll,winsock.dll
and wscok.vxd, but could not find wscok.vxd. Could this is
part of the problem?
