Help! My password doesn't work in Vista Home anymore...

S

Sandy

I did a regular Windows update and now my password will no longer work. It's
a little weird, so I'm wondering if I've had an attack on my system. I'm
running Norton 360 and do regular checks.

How can I reset my password or bypass it so that I can get into my computer???
Please help me...

Hello Sandy,

If you do not change your password and nobody else has access to the machine,
i would first check that caps lock is not enabled. No upidate will reset
a user password normally, never heard about this.

If still no chance, this one will also work for Vista:

Sandy, in addition to what Meinolf suggested, you can also try just
re-booting. Sometimes that will clean things up. Is this a laptop? If
so, you also may have switch the number pad on.
