HELP ME PLEASE!

i had windows xp installed on my computer and it is just to big for it and i
want to put my win 98 back on... when i tried doing this. it said it could
not format the c: drive that is on it now.. so my question is how do i get
windows xp off my computer and put my 98 back on it????? please help me!

Backup your data.....
Boot with the Windows XP CD..
Use it to DELETE partitions..
Then start the installation of Windows 98 again.

You will have to start with a win98 boot disk and do a FDISK and delete the
NON DOS partitions, and then create new ones.
Then you will have to format your hard disk... and then install win98

you can get a win98 boot disk from www.bootdisk.com

How'd you manage that?

Get a boot disk from www.bootdisk.com and erase (using fdisk or a similar
utility) all partitions from your hard drive.

well i get the hole boot disk i have to get some floppys but its the ms dos
promp thing what is that or where can i go to get directions to do that...
cause i am not familar with all of that....... it was easy to install 98 to
me then back to
98 then to xp.... but this xp stuff is very diffrent!~

The normal way to "uninstall" any operating system is to format
the hard drive and install a new OS of your choice.

Only if you performed an upgrade from Win98/Me, elected to backup
the old system files, and didn't convert the partition to NTFS, can
you then boot into Safe Mode and click Start > Control Panel

Add/Remove Programs. All of these conditions must be met for the

uninstall option to be available.
