Help ! Mail Icon Missing in Vista Control Panel

G

Guest

I recently got a new laptop with Vista Ultimate. Not knowing that Outlook
2000 does not work with Vista, I installed Office 2000. I have now
uninstalled and "repaired" my trial version of Office 2007. However, when I
start Outlook 2007, I get a message that I need to create a profile first.
However, the Mail icon is missing from my control panel !!! Any suggestions ?
Any help appreciated ...
Thanks,
Ram

You probably have the 64 bit version of Vista. If this is the case, open up your control panel in classic view and then open "View 32-bit Control Panel Items" Mail and a few others will be in there. Hope that helps!
