Hi all this is my first post i have been on here a few times reading post and what not and i have to say im a big fan of this Community. But rather than having good News i have Bad News...

Ok So first ill give a list of all my bare Componets of my system and maybe one of you younglads can help me out.

1) Intel® Core 2 Duo E6700 Conroe Processor 2.67GHz, 1066FSB, LGA775, 4MB Cache

2)EVGA 122-CK-NF68 nForce 680i SLI Socket 775 1333MHz DDR2 - 1000 Extreme Overclocking

3)Thermaltake W0117RU Toughpower 750W Power Supply

4)Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4 2GB Kit DDR2-800 XMS2-6400 Xtreme Performance Memory

5)BFG BFGR88768GTXE GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3 PCI Express Video Card w/Dual-DVI, HDTV

Ok now heres the problem. This system was up and running Fine the First 20days in use. I left it on to make sure everything could handle 1-2 days steady running. So I tried to install a CD/DVD-rom Burner (sony 18x) which worked Perfectly in my Old computer and a old Floppy which work fine too. When i tried to boot up the system again after unplugging all the both 6pins and about 3 4-pin connectors the Computer loaded and froze at Windows Loading Screen. So i unplugged all the IDE devices (burner and Floppy) and tried again. Now the Computer stays on for about 30 seconds and then all the power cuts off, But the LED lights from the MOBO are still on. When i tried to reboot the CPU again it gave me a Message "Warning System is in SafeMode. Please Reset CPU and Memory Frequency's"

Problem is i cant do that because i only have about 5-10 seconds to get into my Bios and try to Reset all my bios settings. And on top of all that i dont even know how to do that -_-.

So i think its the CPU or Power Supply thats Fried. Im not Sure though. I also heard its the Video Card But i took it out and the same thing happened, the Power cut out in about 10 seconds. The LED lights are on FF which i was told is a good thing.

ANyways thanks for all the help and all your time.

Welcome to PCR!

Have you tried putting the system back as before you installed the drives? I mean components wise, and check that everything is properly connected and not loose. did you knock anything when you were fitting them? Ie the memory or HSF?

You could try resetting the CMOS there should be a jumper on the motherboard near the battery. (Check the manual)

But if it goes off like that then maybe the PSU is dead, got another one to try?

Yeah try a basic system

CPU, HDD, Memory, GFX Card. Nothing else!

Not sure how experienced you are however make sure you have not forced a 4pin power lead into any hardware by mistake ie 12v going to 5v. Dont laugh it happens I assure you!

Try booting then. If that fails make sure you are connected correctly on the motherboard. If that fails as V_R suggests try another PSU.

So many things you need to check so a few at a time ;)

Ok update. I brought another PSU from BestBuy and i had the same result. So its not the Power Supply. I took out both sticks of ram and tried booting Computer wouldnt even enter DOS mode or Bios Screen without the ram in. I took out the Video card and the computer turned off in the same amount of time.
So i believe its Either A) the BIOS are Seriously Screwed up and i have used Jumpers to Clear them. or B) the CPU(Processor) Burnt Out. i think. Im seriously thinking about buying a new Mobo and trying that.

The CPU is fine.
Maybe this will help...

This tells me that you have not carefully read the motherboard owners manual before assembly.
TriplexDread gave you good advice. Assemble a basic system- CPU, 1 stick of memory, videocard, hard drive. Make sure all have power and connections are good. Don't forget the additional power leads for the videocard and CPU. The system POSTs before it dies, so the parts appear to work. Likely suspects include: Components not getting the power they need (plug missing somewhere or loose); BIOS jumper not reset to normal; CPU heatsink improperly set (less likely since it worked before, unless you removed and replaced it); Voodoo curse...

ok Well i tested my Video card i didnt touch my processor or remove the Heat sink. Ok i think its the BIOS, i mean think about it when the PC boots up everything is Found
1)the monitor Displays a normal non errored Screen and it doesnt beep on my phonix Bios
2) The Screen Loads and it detects my Processor "CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo 2.67 Ghz, Processor 2"\
3) Ram is Found, Displays my Timing and the Computer Boots with it
4)Power Supply Works because i used both a stronger and lower end PSU and it did the say thing.
5) I RMA'd the MoBo and it did the same....

Heres the Weird thing... i took the MoBo Battery out and it gave me the Longest boot time ever, when it tried to "verify" my DMI Data Pools all the power cut off. So i dunno i think its the Mobo N the Bios

Taking the battery out of the board will not necessarily rest the BIOS.

Switch power to board off at wall socket. Open manual and find where the jumper is on the board it will be called surprisingly enough "Bios Reset Jumper" or words not far off. Sometimes you have to remove jumper, other times you simply place jumper on the opposite site to where it was originally placed. Read the manual, find where it is, reset it let us know
