Help: How do I import Quicktime MOV files into movie maker?

This seems to be the only format produced by my Kodak digital camera.

Is there a freeware file conversion tool or something?

I know it's odd to reply to my own post but Ive just found a way of getting
my Quicktime MOV files into movie maker,

Using freeware RAD Video tools
http://www.radgametools.com/binkhlp2.htm#START together with installation of
latest version of Quicktime (6.3) - older versions don't work.

Though it would be nice if later version of movie maker allowed users import
MOVs directly.

There are licensing issues with Apple who owns QuickTime (MOV) format.
Apple seems to want you to use QT Pro on Windows which may be why they don't
provide a DirectX compatible decoder. DirectX is the underlying technology
for much of MM.
