For some wiered reason when I connect a new USB device or IEEE (FireWire)
device, windows recognizes the device was hotplugeed, it writes its name but
starts the NEW HARDWARE WIZARD and looks for the drivers and at the end does
not find them even though I installed the software properly.

It happned with a disk on key, a card reader and I could live without them.
But now, I bought an iPOD and I can't use it! damn.

Can someone please help??? PLEASE?

If for any reason I am not describing my problem clearly please ask for
clarification..

THANK YOU!!

Ari.

Here's my checklist of TO Do's when things go awry:

1. Run Spyware removal software with latest definitions.
2. Run anti-virus software with latest definition.
3. Check for sufficient disk space. Delete unused programs.
4. START, RUN, chkdsk /f. Reboot to run chkdsk.
5. Run System file checker utility: START, RUN sfc /scannow
