I have not yet installed my Windows XP.
I have 192.0 MB of RAM
83% free
32 bit File System
32 bit Virtual Memory
Do I need more RAM before installing?
If so, can I remove RAM from another computer
(both are Sony computers) and add to this computer.
I don't plan to use the other computer any more.

Thanks for responses from those who know this subject.

I personally wouldn't run XP with less than 256MB of RAM. If both
computers are identical and/or have compatible RAM, you can use the RAM
from the other computer. Check your manuals as to what kind of RAM each
computer uses.

You didn't say what your processor is or how large a hard drive you
have. The 83% free, etc. only refers to a current Windows installation.
I'd suggest you download and run the Windows Upgrade Advisor before
buying XP. You can get it from Microsoft's website.
