I have a new notebook with WinXP (first time with WinXP). I installed Starry
Night Pro 4.5 (an astronomy program). It ran great on a brief trial. I copied
over a "prefs" folder to the Starry Night Folder so I would have the same
user settings as with the old computer. The program would not run. It
partially loaded then crashed. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled several
times to no avail. Even after a reinstall I get a message from the program
"Starry Night Pro was not quite properly the last time it was used"
After each uninstall, I delete the Starry Night folder left on the C: drive,
before trying a reinstall.
Is there something hiding (maybe in the registry) that's preventing a
reinstall from running correctly?
Thanks
