I saw this in your sig, and was intrigued. Fortunately, I don't have any of
the problems you fix, but I do have one that isn't mentioned, and maybe you'd
like to have a crack at it?

Since finger extension is far easier for me than finger contraction, I like my
taskbar at the top of the screen. I have it locked, and "always on top". But
sadly, some programs open with their titlebars *under* the taskbar, even though
with "always on top" set, this should (IMO) never happen.

It's probably sloppy application programming, but some pretty popular and
expensive software falls into this pit. Starry Night Pro, for example, opens
with it's titlebar under the taskbar -- every single time. There are others,
too.

Long story short: Think you can make an applet that can force every
application to observe the "always on top" taskbar setting when it opens?

A;ways "On Top" means in front really, the taskbar in always
be the front and won't be covered by something else.

Jim, you are exactly right of course. Somehow, my brain didn't work that way
on this go around. <g> Still, I think that there is a bug somewhere when a
program can open so that its entire titlebar is obscured under the taskbar. If
this could be solved somehow, it would be nice.

'Always on top' refers to the taskbar itself; meaning it always overlays
any window that opens on that part of the screen - exactly the behaviour
you don't want. Uncheck that (and uncheck autohide if it is checked)
