Help file missing

Please can someone advise me about the following

When I click on Start ----- Help (in the Start Menu) I
continually get the message - helpctr.exe file is missing.

Where can I obtain this file, I seem to have exhausted
all my own options

try running (from start > run ) sfc /scannow (with the
windows xp cd in the drive
