Help crashes

Hi.
I formatted my P.C recently, and now every time I open a
help file (you know, like pressing F1 on applications) my
crousor changes for a sandclock for a few seconds and
then returns to normal, and nothing happens. I also
checked the "Help and support" from the start menu, but
no avail. I'ts not functioning as well. can someone help
me?
