Help choosing a Laptop

Hi, I am starting University next year so my parents said they will buy me a laptop for Christmas. So I need some help finding a good one.

I’m looking for something that can do all the basics, including wireless & broadband. I would like the possibility of playing some games but we have a budget of about £500-£600 pound so I know I can’t have a total gaming machine. I also want it to look stylish, i prefer silver to black.

I don’t mind too much about brands but I would like to stay away from dell.

This looks good but it's £650.00

It does have Nvidia 7600 128Mb grafix though And Win XP Pro.

This is within budget at five hundred smackers but won't play games too good.

Personally, I wouldn't go for an Acer, I've read too much about people having problems with the company.

And you won't be playing many games on that machine at all, unless you're happy playing older games like Baldurs Gate and Quake II.
