I got a problem with windows xp. When i started my comptuer , my xp
professional prompted me that my windows had not be properly loaded
for the previous time and i could choose to load my computer in safe
mode, safe mode with network support etc, load windows normally etc.i
chose to load my computer in safe mode but it just couldnt load
anything and got restarted. i've tried all the other optinons and
still couldnt load my windows.

i tried to boot my computer using a windosws 98 boot disk and use the
scandisk and chkdsk to see if my c:\ got any problem. the scandisk
stopped at 60% and said it couldnt read a bit of data in the FAT and
this FAT problem prevented it to fix any error. chkdsk also failed.

i have partitioned my harddisk and c:\ is my directory for windows and
programs,
d:\ is my cdr writer and e:\ is my data drive

when i booted using windows 98 boot disk, my cdrom became f:\ and my
data drive became d:\. the e:\ drive is the RAMdrive.

i tried to reinstall my windows but my comptuer couldnt read any cd
and it always gave me an error message of "f: not ready to use"

my windows functioned properly for the previous times but it got hang
when i tried to burn a cd. After i restarted my copmuter this FAT
problem came.

what should i do?
