Help! Cannot send emails, I get an error message everytime!

Hi,
I recently got a new computer with office outlook on it, I have set it up to
receive pop3 email from bellsouth and it receives fine. However, anytime I
send an email to someone who is not at bellsouth I soon receive an error
email that goes like this: Undeliverable, Your message did not reach some or
all of the intended recipients. (email address info) 550 relaying mail to
hotmail.com (or wherever) is not allowed.
What happened?? Any help you have would be greatly appreciated! Plus save me
35 bucks!
Thanks,
Jules

Hi gdb,
Yes I did get it resolved. The link the mvp gave me was very helpful. Here's
the answer. I had my pop3 account and my smtp set up with the same isp
configuration on outlook. However, I am not currently accessing the internet
through that isp (I'm away at college). Basicly, if I am not hooked up to the
same isp server as my email address I cannot send mail to anyone outside of
that service ( bellsouth for example). I had to find out the smtp (outgoing
server) address with the wireless hookup I'm receiving now. Once I configured
my smtp through the server, and keep my pop3 (incoming mail) the same with my
isp email, It has now been running great. Does that make sense? If you need
further explanation on how to do this I will gladly help.
Blessings,

I had the exact same problem moving from California to Colorado. Same email
address, different ISP. This was driving me crazy! Thanks for the post!

I had a similar problem and this article cleared it up in seconds.
I only had to read the first few lines to see where the problem was.
Thanks.
