Help! Blank screen after login

Server boots OK in safe mode, but in normal mode I get a
blank screen with mouse cursor after login. Users can
connect, but I can't do anything on the server.
This "seems" to have happened after connecting to the
server using PC Anywhere over internet.

If I am not mistaken there is an option to blank the screen of the host you
can set from either the host setup or the remote setup on some version(s) of
PCAnywhere. You may want to start by looking into that.
