Help and Support

When I click on "Help and Support", XP Pro says that it
can't find "helpctr.exe." But when I search for it, the
file shows up in:

c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386
c:\windows\system32\dllcache <-compressed
c:\windows\pchealth\helpctr\Binaries
c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$ <-compressed
c:\8a2c38ac6

I tried to open these files (besides the compressed ones)
and nothing happened. The first time this happened, I
searched for the "helpctr.exe" file and when I tried to
open it I was told to start "Help and Support" service.

I started the service and "Help and Support" still cannot
find "helpctr.exe" and I look for it and try to open it
nothing happens.

Hi!
if it happens after using Esy Cleaner:-
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/fixwinxphelp.htm
To reinstall Help and Support: Go to C:\Windows\inf\pchealth.inf. Right
click and choose install. Have your CD handy.

Note: The folder is hidden by default. Go to Start/Run and type in:
control folders. View: Show hidden files and folders and uncheck Hide
extensions for known file types.
