In the folder C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\OfflineCache their's a file called
index.dat anyone know if it's possible to recreate this file? The file isn't
on the xp cd. TIA

That's one of those "index.dat" files that should not be deleted
unlike the index.dat files in your cookies folder and temp internet
files folder. I believe the only way to re-create this file is from a
backup or repair install.

Of course its not on the cd its an index of the files in the folder
that's modified as files are added/removed.

I realized that but it was worth a shot as I'm stumped by this problem and
was grasping at straws, and was sure someone would've recommeneded it on
here.
