""HELP"" ACER FERRARI 3000LMi Not Charging??

Hi,
My Puppy chewed the charging lead on my Acer there was a spark now the laptop won't charge or run with or without the battery in.? I brought a new charger but still not working. When I connect the charger and go to power up the laptop the orange battery light flashes fast then it goes out.
Any ideas anybody?

sounds like the wires touched and shorted, probably blown something on the power or charging circuit. I'd say the only way of sorting it is to take it to a decent computer repair shop or send it to Acer
