Debbie Graham

I have 2 cd Rom's and both are listed in the bios and I also just checked
the connections on the motherboard and still the one doesn't show up in My
Computer. I tried that CD Rom fix and that still didn't help. I need help
here.........thanks

Debbie,

I assume they did show up before, correct?
How do you have them set on the Motherboard, Cable Select, Master and Slave,
etc. etc.?

First to be sure they are both indeed good, remove one and see what Windows
shows. If it's there, be sure and place a CD in to see if it works. Then
remove that one and try the second. The BIOS may see them both, but doesn't
mean they are both good.

I got it to show up but I have no idea how I did it. All it know it was
showing up in BIOS and in the registry. They were set up by a tech because
I just got a new motherboard so I assume they knew how to hook up the cd
roms..........in fact it was showing up the day I got it back I even burned
some files using it but then the next day it was gone. Anyway I got it
back, don't know how but it showing up

Debbie,

Well glad you got it showing up and working. Perhaps the CD Rom fix requires
a reboot and you didn't until later or your cable/s were lose and on the
next reboot it found.
