headers

[old&frustrated]

i keep receiving the message " failed to update headers" in outlook 2007.
i am using vista and have brought my .pst file from old computer. the
program seems to run ok and i receive messages. i have seen this question
elsewhere but no answers.
if i click on details i get
The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server.
Protocol: IMAP
Server: my mail address
Port: 143

Sounds like an unstable network connection. Contact your ISP or
network/mail admin.
