Header from 2003 to 2007

I've a 55 page word document

My issue is that I imported the word document from word 2003 I found to my
horror my headers are all different, for example the first 7 pages of headers
are fine but the 8th page the header was Different, I corrected it only to
find pages 2,4,6 were now wrong, I go back to correct page 2 which also fixes
pages 4 and 6 only to find that page 8 is now wrong.

Please is their away that I can Delete and start with a fresh heading in the
first page and all the other pages can follow ( Odd and Even ) if so How.
