head phones

There are audio outputs on the back of my sound card (SB
Live) for speakers, headphones, mic, ect... The outputs
for the speakers and the mic work just fine but for some
reason when I plug in my headphones I don't get any
sound. First I thought it might be the headphones so I
tried plugging them into the speaker output and they
woked fine. So for some reason I just don't get any
audio from the headphone jack. Any help would be great.

Refer to the connectors diagram at http://tinyurl.com/vah8
The Rear Out jack, which I assume you're trying to connect headphones to,
does not list them as an option. Also, use the Creative Mixer to select
4-speaker option; this may enable that jack and perhaps do the job for you.

Otherwise, look for one of the many available speake/headphone switches
available at Radio Schack, CyberGuys, and many other fine retailers.
