HD case light won't work with SATA drives

I have built two new systems using SATA-150 HDs and the case light won't
work on the SATA drives but will work on the Reg. ATA drives. Anyone else
had this problem?

That sounds like a motherboard issue. I've put together a number of systems over the past few weeks, all using SATA drives on Asus motherboards, and the HDD LED worked fine in each case.

That light is not really HD activity, but 'IDE controller activity'.
The controller it refers to is not the one being used for SATA

Turn the connection for the case LED around on
the motherboard. See if that helps.
