Sorry if this is an idiot's question. I have a Sony HDV camcorder and i want to save it to the hard disc of a Panasonic HDD/DVD recorder. On the camcorder I have HDMI out, AV out and HDV/DV out. On the panasonic i have DV in and AV3 in. I have tried the AV out/AV in route, and the quality isn't that good. What would be the best combination of cabling to maintain the best quality - i.e. closest to HD.
Thanks for any help!

Sony outputs: HDMI; AV; HDV/DV

Panasonic inputs: DV; AV3

Tried: AV out to AV3 in

Lemme see, by my reckoning that only leaves this as an alternatve: HDV/DV out to DV in.

So my answer would be get yourself a suitable cable if you don't already have one and try it.

Good luck :)

And welcome to the forums.
