Sony HDV Video Capture

Jeff Sony

Dear Microsoft,

I'm trying to connect my Sony HDV (high definition video) video camera to my
Dell XPS 410 runnning Windows XP SP2.

From Sony, I understand that Windows XP SP2 should automatically recognize
my Sony camera. However it is only recognized in "DV" mode, not in "HDV"
mode.
When I go to my device driver and try to select Sound, Video and Game
Controllers - "Sony" does not appear on the Manufacturer's list. Yet
evidently it should have been included with the standard Windows XP SP2
install.

After reviewing a lot of information on Microsoft.com and the internet, it
seems that I need to locate a series of files which I don't believe are on
my computer including:

Sony D-VHS driver
And the following files...

Windows XP 32-bit versions
Date Time Version Size File name
-----------------------------------------------------------
15-Feb-2003 00:22 5.3.16.3 24,576 Xpsp1hfm.exe
13-Dec-2002 00:13 5.1.2600.108 49,920 1394bus.sys
09-Nov-2002 13:48 5.1.2600.105 46,720 61883.sys
09-Nov-2002 13:48 5.1.2600.105 24,448 Sonydcam.sys
13-Jan-2003 23:53 5.1.2600.1156 50,816 1394bus.sys

Please tell me where I can go to find these files,

Best regards,

Jeff
