New Sony Vaio & JVC digital video camera

I also have a new Sony Vaio running XP. It will not
recognize my JVC GR-DV3 digital video camera using a
firewire connection and Movie Maker. I downloaded Movie
Maker 2 but this was no help.

Does anyone know what I can do next?

My sister-in-law has a JVC DV camera, and I helped her 6 months ago get a
firewire card and install it. Didn't work until we upgraded Win XP to
Service Pack 1, and then it worked fine with the JVC supplied software.
Check to see if you have SP1 for your XP, as it fixed some known issues with
JVC DV cameras.
