having trouble renaming name of PST as shown in folder list in OL2003

Nella

I've successfully moved my moved my OL 2000 (IMO) PST file over from PC#1
to PC#2 and can see everything in it (as an archive file) when I open OL2003
installed on PC#2. MS Exchange Server is not installed on PC#2 (free
standing, non-networked).

Both of my PST files (the new OL2003 file and the archive OL2000 PST file)
are called: Personal Folders in the folder list (each PST has a different
file name ending with the extension *.PST; no confusion there).

When I try to rename one of the PST's parent names (Personal Folders) as
shown in the folder list, by right clicking, the rename option is grayed
out, and when I right click and select "Properties for "Personal Folders"
and chose the "general" tab, I cannot modify the name Personal Folders in
the field at the top).

Any idea on how I can change the name given by OL2003 to one of my PST's
(either the unicode file created by OL2003 or the non-unicode file which I'm
using as an archive PST), insofar as the name is displayed in the folder
list? Nella

When you go to the PST properties (by right-clicking), there's an advanced
button, I believe - and you ought to be able to change the display name in
there.

Lanwench,

Thanks very much! Wooden thinking on my part not even to try the "advanced
button." Nella

No problem - it's annoyingly obscure, actually. You didn't miss anything
obvious.
