My computer currently has windows 2000 Professional on it
and I am trying to upgrade to windows xp. Everytime I go
to install it comes up with the following message. (Setup
cannot upgrade your current installation to Windows XPl.
Current installantion of Windows is not a supported
upgrade path.) Is there anyway to get this windows XP
installed on my computer.

Please Help !!!!

Hi Cheri,

What version of XP are you trying to install? WIN2K Professional cannot be
upgraded to XP Home Edition, it must be upgraded to Professional Edition.

Suggest you do your homework more carefully before opening your wallet. Take
a closer look at the box. It *TELLS* you what the qualifying products are!
The only way to install it is to format. If you don't wish to do this you
have two choices; 1) stay with 2000 Pro or 2) purchase the correct upgrade
(and I think even you can work out what that is). You cannot return the
software to the store as no store will take back opened software - and
especially not when it's the customer's fault!
